Introduction

Flatlays are one of my favourite ways to capture the little details of a wedding, all those tiny things that make your day so you. Rings, invitations, flowers, special gifts… even the shoes can get their moment to shine!

I like to work with couples to create flatlays that feel personal, whether that’s luxury and elegant, earthy and natural, or relaxed and playful. Each one tells a story and reflects your personalities, not just your Pinterest board.

What to Expect

Flatlay photography is surprisingly quick, but it’s also a little bit of an art form. Here’s how it usually goes:

Timing: Usually about 30–45 minutes, depending on how many details we’re shooting. I usually fit it in before the ceremony or during prep, so it doesn’t feel rushed.

Collaboration:

  • I’ll chat with you about the items you want in your flatlay. Rings, invites, heirlooms, shoes, flowers or anything quirky and personal. Then I’ll guide the styling so it looks effortless and gorgeous.

Styles:

  • Luxury – clean lines, soft textures, elegant details.
  • Earthy/Natural – neutral tones, greenery, wood, organic vibes.
  • Relaxed & Playful – layered textures, pops of colour, fun little details.

Basically, I’ll make sure your flatlay is unique to you, not just a copy of everyone else’s wedding.

Tips for Couples

To help your flatlay come out looking amazing:

  • Gather your special things early: rings, jewelry, invitations, flowers, little personal touches.
  • Mix textures: paper, fabric, metal, wood, greenery… it all adds depth.
  • Keep it real: it doesn’t have to be over-styled; simple often looks best.
  • Background matters: I’ll help pick surfaces and fabrics that suit your vibe.
  • Relax!: You don’t need to hover over every detail. I’ll handle the styling, while keeping it personal and beautiful.

How I Work

I like to think of flatlays as tiny stories frozen in a frame. My approach:

  • Light & Angles: I love natural light, soft shadows, and flattering tones.
  • Styling: I work with your vibe, whether it’s luxury, earthy, or chilled, and arrange items to match.
  • Personal Touches: Details like a handwritten note, a special flower, or a family heirloom make each flatlay feel truly yours.
